| Re: How to access Calibre Content Server from Kindle web browser?
As you want to access Calibre content server from the Kindle web browsers, first I would suggest you to check if the ISP is blocking any port or not. Kindle Web servers require the port number 80 to function. Most of the ISP's block the port number 80. If your Internet service provider is blocking port number 80 then you will not be able to start the Kindle Web server as it will not use any arbitrary port defined by the user. Therefore before implementing any steps for starting the server, confirm about the port which is available.

| Re: How to access Calibre Content Server from Kindle web browser?
Even if your Internet service provider is blocking the port number 80 for incoming traffic, still you can access the Calibre content server using kindle browser. You will have to configure the calibre content server, assign some port addresses and then use the port forwarding applications to redirect the assigned ports to the default ports so that the kindle web browser and the Calibre content browser recognize the traffic. After following the steps mentioned, you will have no problems while accessing Calibre content server. |

Thanks for replying to the post. I dont know how to configure the calibre content server and neither do I know to assign port addresses, so can you please explain the procedure in detail as it would be more helpful. Also will using port forwarding applications corrupt the operating system which I am using? I am using Windows XP as the operating system. |
