I think the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader has the faster processor because this device is featured with the MXL MC9328MXLVP20 CPU and it has the ARM920T core and it is 200MHz processor, which provides faster response. This device comes with the 512MB built in flash memory for storage purpose. You cannot inscrese the storage capacity of this device using the external storage media.

The Sony PRS-300 ebook reader has the 5" screen and 128MB RAM memory for the faster processing. It provides better view for the user with the 5" display. This Sony PRS-300 ebook reader supports EPUB eBook, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, TXT, RTF, BBeB file formats for reading and storing. So you can easily read the above mentioned file types on the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader.

I think you should go for the amazon Kindle 2 because it has the faster processor as compared to the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader and it also has the larger screen as compare to the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader. Amazon Kindle 2 has the 6" display screen. The Amazon Kindle 2 has the i.MX31L (ARM1136JF-S core, 532MHz) processor which is faster than the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader.

Re: Which has the faster processor between Sony PRS-300 and Kindle 2

The Amazon kindle comes with the 128MB of RAM memory and 2GB of the inbuilt flash memory which is greater than the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader. This Amazon kindle 2 comes with the Linux 2.6.22 operating system where as the Sony PRS-300 comes with the older version of the Linux operating system. So according to me the Amazon Kindle is far more better than the Sony PRS-300 ebook reader.
