Huawei - EC321 does not prompt after installation

I am having an issue with the installation of Huawei - EC321. I have got this to work with my notebook from the Reliance. As per the product documentation it is written that when i will connect the Huawei - EC321 it will prompt me for the insertion of the datcard then only i have to connect the Huawei - EC321 to the port but it Huawei - EC321 does not prompt after installation so help me to get rid of this. Thanks in advance.

Which operati8ng system you are using? If you are running your computer with the latest Windows OS that Vista and Windows 7 then you are not having the support for the driver of the same. As relience does not having the driver for these. So download the driver of it and then try to run the same again might help you. Thanks

I don't know about the exact issue but have search for the same and have got the solution of it as the complete installation guide for the same. I am here giving you a link which will make the complete installation method for you. So go through the same and let me know is it the same way you are installing the same.

This can be possible only when some device wont allow for the same. To work with the same you have to make some changes that will make the Huawei - EC321 working. Just connect the USB card and then the windows will prompt for it as USB storage device install the driver for the same with the CD and start working with it

If all the above is not working for you then do the below given steps which will might resolve your issue and give you ability to work with the Huawei - EC321. so just follow the same.

• Go to the Device Manager
• Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers.
• Right-click on the device and choose Uninstall
• Click on Menu then to action
• Scan for Hardware changes
• The modem and the storage should now be detected!

1. Start Windows Explorer, locate the "%SystemRoot%\Inf" Folder
2. Right-click the Usbstor.pnf file
3. Then click Properties.
4. Go to Security tab.
5. In Group or user names list, click the user or group that you want to set Deny permissions for.

Did you followed the proper step for the installation of the Reliance USB Huawei EC321 data modem. I think there might be some issue with the installation and that is why you are getting this issue. I will advise you to go with the installation of the Reliance USB Huawei EC321 data modem driver again and see whether it is working with the issue of yours or not.
