Acer one timeline does not boot

Recently I bought an Acer One Timeline which is installed with Windows XP operating system. The laptop started behaving weirdly from few days. It kept on restarting while running different applications and now the laptop does not boot at all. I dont know why my Acer one timeline does not boot and hence I need your help in finding solutions. Please help.

As the laptop is new I would suggest you take the laptop to the nearest authorized Acer service center. Take the laptop there and get it checked. The technicians at the service center will check the laptop thoroughly and will report all the problems which are there in the laptop. If the laptop is under warranty cover then it will be serviced for free. Even the hardware peripheral which has to be replaced will be replaced for free. If the laptop is out of warranty then you will have to pay for the hardware which is changed and also the service charge which is levied on it.

Sometimes the battery of the laptop does not get charge even when the AC adapter is connected to the laptop. Laptop will not be able to boot if the battery does not have enough charge. Connect the AC adapter to the laptop and let the battery of the laptop charge for about 4 to 5 hours. After connecting the AC adapter to the laptop, see if the battery is charging. Once the battery has enough charge, try booting the laptop and see if it works.

I think the system memory of your laptop is not accessible due to which the laptop is not booting. All the files which are required to the operating system are first loaded in the system RAM and then executed from there. If the system RAM is not accessible then the operating system will not be boot. Open the laptop and then remove the RAM chips from their respective RAM slots. Clean the connecting terminals of the laptop. Replace the RAM in their respective slots. If there are multiple chips then try booting the laptop using single RAM chip at a time. If for a particular RAM chip the system does not boot then discard the RAM as it may be faulty.

Motherboard of the laptop controls all the functions which are performed by the computer. Basic power distribution to all the devices which are connected to the motherboard is the main function of motherboard. Apart from that all the logical decisions are made by the motherboard therefore if the motherboard of the computer is faulty then the computer will not work properly. I would suggest you to get the motherboard of the laptop checked by some technician and if there are any faults in the motherboard, get it replaced. Replacing the motherboard will solve the problem.

The battery on the motherboard of the laptop is responsible for saving all the BIOS settings which are required for the system to boot. If you can open the laptop, open it and locate the battery on the motherboard. Remove the battery and check the voltage of the battery using a Digital multimeter. The voltage of the battery should be between 2.5 volts and 3 volts. If the voltage of the battery is less than 2.5 volts then you will have to replace the battery. Once the battery is replaced, the laptop will boot without any problems.
