How do i charge and conserve the battery power on UC73 Series Notebook

i just bought new UC73 Series Notebook laptop. I have also installed windows vista operating system for my professional usage. Actually i want to know that how to charge the battery in that system as well as how can i conserve the battery power in same system so any one please tell me that ,how do i charge and conserve the battery power on UC73 Series Notebook?
