Unable to open memory card in Nokia 6500

Hello friends,
I am having this problem from last week. I have Nokia 6500 mobile phone, which is 1 year old. Whenever I tried to open Memory card from my mobile, it gives error message "Memory Card not formatted; Format memory card ?". When I press yes button, it says Operation Failed. I don't know what happened to it. I don't know why I unable to open memory card in Nokia 6500. Please help me.

You have to format your Memory card using computer to fix this problem. You have to use following steps to do this.
First remove memory card from your mobile -> now insert memory card into adapter and then connect it to your computer -> Now format your memory card -> after this again insert memory card into mobile and then try to open memory card.

Have you tried to format your Memory card using another mobile? If not then tried to format your memory card using another mobile. Just remove memory card from your mobile and then insert it into another mobile. Now go to memory card option and select "Format" option. After completing format process, again inset memory card in your mobile. Now you will able to open memory card from your mobile.
