Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, SD3500 IS, SD1400 IS and SD1300 IS

Earlier this month Canon launched four cameras in the Powershot category. I am looking forward to purchase one of them but I am totally confused. The digital cameras that I am interested in buying include the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, SD3500 IS, SD1400 IS and SD1300 IS. I always wanted to have a Canon Powershot digital camera. I am unable to derive enough information on these digital cameras and also suggest as to which I should buy. I am not aware of their availability as well as exact cost.

The recently released Canon Powershot SD3500 IS has a 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen. The zoom lens of this camera is of 5 mega-pixels. This camera is also known as IXUS 210. It helps you to identify 35 faces using its Face Detection technology to enhance the image capture. The digital zoom for this IXUS 210 is of 4X. To put it into simple words for me this is really an exiting Powershot camera. The looks are very attractive and also the camera is very handy. Talking about the price and market rate of this I am unsure.

This 12.1-megapixels PowerShot SD1300 IS by Canon is really a stylish digital camera. This also inhabbits the Canon’s Smart FE function. I have earlier used Canon digital cameras and have to admit that there are all superb. This latest edition from Canon comes with a 28mm wide angle lens. It has a 4x Optical Zoom lens. This was a result of the Canon's preparation for the PMA 2010 show. Now coming to the price of this camera it is around $200 and was expected to be available by the end of February 2010, so I guess it might already be out.

Do not be mistaken by Digital IXUS 130 to be a different camera, but it is the same PowerShot SD1400 IS which is named differently in many European countries. Measured at 2.7-inch PureColor System LCD this camera also has a 14.1 Megapixel resolution. This is a masterpiece for me. The best part is its thickness which is even less then 1 inch which makes it an ultra-slim camera. Priced at $249 this camera will be out but February ending.

Incase you are on look of a brilliant High definition video capture and excellent image quality digital camera then the Canon's PowerShot SX210 IS might be the best suited. Though it can be considered a bit expensive at $ 350, but there is not compromise on the quality and features of this 14x Optical Zoom camera. It has a LCD screen which is 3.0-inch wide. The Optical Image Stabilization helps the user to capture the best of the images.
