Gateway E-475M G Notebook is a designed like to run the demanding application which require by PC Cards, CD/DVD drives, and large amounts of memory. You can also used in that system windows xp ,vista operating system. Basically the computer system compiles with some safety standards for operating temperature. However, as a result of the computer's power consumption while running these applications, it is normal for the external surfaces of the computer to feel warm when the computer is in use for extended periods. You also verify that some components really working in system. You need to verify the laptop system has adequate airflow. If your computer system is not on a desk or a table then this causes inadequate airflow under it. Same as when you ant to enter tehBIOS set up utility on the Gateway E-475M G Notebook then you need to press the F2 key on start up.

BIOS,we can also called it as basic input/output system.basically it i in internal part of the computer system. The main role play of that type of BIOS in Gateway E-475M G Notebook is to identify and test the such hardware devise like floppy disk, hard disk. So you can easily enter the BIOS set up utility in same system because of pressing F2 key on startup. If you know about warm in system then If the computer is not on a solid surface, like a desk or a table, this causes inadequate airflow under it and may cause one or both fans to turn on as well as to elevate the temperature of the computer's case. Because the power consumption of the computer system which are depend on running application as well as when use for extended periods.

Re: Why is my Gateway E-475M G Notebook computer so warm?

Basically there are some reasons due to system may generate the extra heat and make the system warmful. Basically laptop, notebook are the already warmest computer system when the battery is charging in system. If the battery is fully discharged, the unit runs warmer while the battery charges. As well as pc card also need an extra energy even the card is not in use. If there is an issue where
files are being lost or corrupted that is related to the heating, the hard disk, not the computer, may be generating the heat and causing the issue. So if you need to reduce the extra heat then you requires modify the power management setting in system for
maximum power savings conserves power.because the Power settings set for maximum performance may generate extra heat .
