I think you are getting a blank screen, color blue not a Black Screen . Perhaps a progress indicator appears he also, like a daisy whose petals are colored one by one or a spinning disc. To resolve this problem, a number of procedures are available. Test them in turn until you find the solution. Some are more complex, but do not neglect either. At startup, Mac OS X reviews fonts in the System Folder Mac OS 9. A file damaged fonts can cause dysfunction. Boot from your System Folder, Mac OS 9 or a CD-ROM Mac OS 9. If your computer does not boot in Mac OS X, start up in Safe Mode. Drag the Fonts folder System Mac OS 9 (not the System folder Mac OS X) on the desktop. Restart the computer in Mac OS X.
Try removing elements incompatible third-party. Boot from your System Folder, Mac OS 9 or a CD-ROM Mac OS 9. If your computer does not boot in Mac OS X, start up in Safe Mode. Open the hard drive Mac OS X. Remove files/Library/StartupItems and /System/Library/StartupItems items not Apple. Store them temporarily in the Users folder in Mac OS X. If you ignore the nature of an element (is it a third element has been installed by Apple?), Do not touch. Restart the computer in Mac OS X.
Make sure that the latest version of firmware is installed on your computer. Get the latest updates from Apple Downloads. Disconnect all devices except the keyboard and mouse Apple. If this resolves the problem, reinstall them one by one, taking care to restart the computer after each installation to locate the problem. If you feel able to do so, reset the Power Manager (PMU) of your computer.
Remove hardware upgrades - of the RAM, processor cards and PCI cards. If this resolves the problem, reinstall them one by one, taking care to restart the computer after each installation to locate the problem. Note: Apple does not provide technical support for Mac OS X if the operating system used with non-Apple processor card. Boot from your installation disc of Mac OS X and check the hard disk with Disk Utility or, if necessary, fsck.
Try the following steps to resolve your problem :
- In the Finder's Go menu, choose Go to Folder.
- Type (without quotes): "/ System / Library / Extensions /.
- Press Return.
- In the Extensions window, locate the file BootCache.kext.
- Delete the file BootCache.kext. You may need to type the password for the administrator.
At the next boot the computer take a little longer to start because the file is recreated BootCache.kext.
