Want best 12 to 14 inch screen laptop without optical drive

Hi friends,
I want a suggestion in buying a laptop which should all the features which i need to have in my laptop. I want a powerful laptop which should be small with 12 to 14 inches 720p of screen with good picture quality and it should not have "optical drive". I have been looking out for the same configuration on newegg, the laptops which were available on that site were having optical drive for the same size as mentioned above. It should have the configuration with atleast core 2 duo i.e (dual-core) over 2 ghz with decent video card and HDMI out.

The ASUS UL80Vt is the best laptop for you as it doesn't have a Core 2 Duo processor, but it has a CULV Core 2 Duo that has an automatic overclocking options. It is thin, light, with good battery life. It has switchable graphics cards, and with added feature that is it can accept discrete Nvidia card at best. If you are looking out for the gaming purpose then it will probably be not enough or if you are looking for just multimedia purpose and for older games it should be plenty for you.

I think you should seek more on your requirement because most of the laptop brands will not provide all the features according to the need of the the customers. So in this case a Dell studio 14z stand alone. You'll not find it on the newegg but as i have noticed it fits requirement what you need. I came to know about this laptop got from one of the dell outlet its for only for $500 with C2D T6500, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Nvidia 9400m chipset, and finally with no optical drive.
