ASUS will launch a series of USB 3.0 add-on cards. The Star-USB3 expansion card will be powered by NEC USB 3.0 regulator chip and bring a new standard Super pace USB 3.0 act up to 5Gbps data-transfer rate which is 12 times faster than USB 2.0 and as a minimum 900mA current output for each port to simply access real rapid external devices. Check out and reply.

MSI will also launch a USB 3.0 and SATA 6G expansion card which give a great suppleness with its backward compatibility to USB 2.0 and previous devices and therefore supports high-speed SATA3 devices. The new 3.0 SATA 6 Gbit/s standard can hold a maximum of roughly 715MB/s with no the encoding overhead. While still the fastest conservative hard disk drives can barely soak the original SATA 1.5 Gbit/s bandwidth, Solid State Disk drives have by now saturated the SATA 3 Gbit/s limit at 250 MB/s net read speed. Check it out and reply. Best of luck.

NEC also exposes the first add-on cards based on it is recently make known µPD720200 USB 3.0 host controller. This is the classic route taken by a company to increase the standard in an environment where motherboard vendors and chipset creator haven't yet embraced it. For the desktop segment, the reference plan PCI-Express x1 add-on card provides two Super Speed USB 3.0 port that are backwards-compatible with USB 2.0, 1.1, and 1.0. Check it out
