Error 8247 when Updating iPod Touch

Hello everybody,
I am having iPod with me and i had recently purchased 3.1.2 for my Pod Touch when i am trying to download it over there i am getting an unknown error 8247. At the same time i had also check out the connection everything is fine don't know why i am getting such kind of message, when i asked my friends about the issue they also don't have any idea about it. Can anyone help me out with this issue ?

I am also facing similar type of issue i had try to download it for 5 times and now i am worrying that i will be charge for 5 times? i don't know what the issue with this update, i had found out many people are same issue and i had really got frustrated with it, no i had decided that i won't purchase any apple product in future and specially won't be upgrading any software.

After doing lots of research and development over internet i had found a solution for your error message for that you need to first download the firmware from here and after make a selection on the second tab (iPhone / iPod touch) and at the same time also select which version you want and finally click on download. Then plug in your iPod, press and hold shift button and click update on your iTunes and finally browse the downloaded file.

I was also getting Error 8247 when i was trying to update my firmware and when i called customer care they told me to click on update and it will be done, but it was not able to do so , since my internet connection was very slow, then at last i took it to service center and they updated my firmware within an hour, i would suggest everyone if you are facing any issue then take your iPod Touch to service center and they will fix your problem.
