Video not compatible with PSP

Hello

I have a PSP 9000, I'm trying to play my dvd video in PSP, successfully saved video on PSP memory stick, but i can't play it, PSP says the format is not supported, I ripped and encoded a DVD to MP4 (PSP) is not recognized by my console ( "Data not compatible"). But quite readable on my PC with Quicktime. so i want to know Which video formats are compatible with PSP 9000?

Re: Video not compatible with PSP

The video format most common for PSP supports MP4, moreover, you can also buy UMD movies for watching movies on it. The videos can not be read by the PSP in that they are not compatible with the PSP. You choose the video format that MP4 video format compatible with the PSP.

Re: Video not compatible with PSP

I use these following settings while encoding videos for my psp:
  • Audio: AAC 105 with boost 5x
  • Option Encoding: 320x240 or 368x208 depending on the size of my video (1.33 or 1.85)
  • 2pass
  • I leave "Video Destination" and "Temporary Folder" by default.
  • Under Title inlaid (idx).
  • I set the video bitrate by choosing the "desired final size"
  • Certainne time I manually rip the DVD with DVD Decrypter and I create the d2v with rip-it AM.
  • Finally transferring to the video on the psp I use psp video 9.

Re: Video not compatible with PSP

You can also use PSP Movie Creator , it offers more than a PSP video converter, for it supports a variety of video formats, DVD / VCD as well; it is also a PSP video Management application to show the concrete video information for you. Try it out.
