    Panasonic HDC-HS250 or Sony DCR-DVD850?

    Hi All,

    I want to buy new digital camcorders for personal use. My friend suggest me to take either Panasonic HDC-HS250 or Sony DCR-DVD850. As both has awesome features. But I am totally confused about which to select from these two camcorders of Panasonic and Sony. Both brands are well known for camcorders products. Is any body having Panasonic HDC-HS250 or Sony DCR-DVD850, then please let me know your opinion about these camcorders. So that it will be easy for to make selection.

    Hi,

    I am using 'Panasonic HDC-HS250' camcorder. This camcorder has 120 GB hard disk and which holds up to 50 hours of footage at the lowest quality settings. It is full HD camcorder, it offers electronic view finder, manual controls. It comprises 3-megapixel 3MOS sensors. The main feature of the new Panansonic camcorder is that all the three new models capture 10.6 mp images. I hope you will take Panasonic HDC-HS250.

    I suggest you to refer following details about the 'Sony DCR-DVD850':
    • Sensor: 1/8 inches CCD sensor.
    • Zoom: optical(60x), Digital(2000x)
    • Display: 2.7 inches LDC screen.
    • Storage capacity: 16 GB
    • Weight: 390 g
    • Focal length: 1.8 to 108 mm

    The Panasonic HDC-HS250 is designed with dimensions of 2.9 inches wide by 2.7 inches high by 5.0 inches long screen. And which makes it very comfortable to hold even in the slight upward curve toward the back. It also has the zoom switch facility. This model weighs a little more than a pound and is not the lightest model and even a little large than its market competitors Cannon Vixia Hf 20. This camcorder has mini HDMI, component video out, SD card slot along with USB connection.

    I am have 'Sony DCR-DVD850' camcorder. This sony camcorder has high flexibility along with powerful features such as Shot image stabilization, Carl Zeiss lens with 60x optical zoom for to capture sharp images. It's Hybrid Plus technology provides the option to record to DVD, or removable Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo media. It also has auto mode option such as AF and AE, intelligent contrast, fade, backlight compensation, soft skin mode, MagicPix night mode.
