Usb won't appear on My computer even if it is properly installed

My mom and i bought a new PCI usb due to a Pci usb problem.. the store owner told us to install the Cd if its not working but when i inserted it it says that it was plug and play so i didn't install i only used 1 port (cause it is 4 ports) but when i use the 2nd to 4th it doesn't work so i installed it and after that it is usb printing support and 2 usb 2.0 ports when i plugged the Usb it says its ready to use but when i look on my computer it doesn't have Removable disk.. what should i do pls help me...

Have you checked the USB is working on any other computer ? Because this happened with me when I bought a new Kingston USB Drive and connected it to my computer it was not detected, but when connected to my friend's computer it was detected. After I got it replaced it was working well for me. Also Have tried all the USB ports of your computer, because the front USB ports of cabinet are usually disabled.

actually.. i tried the usb to other computer and even our laptop but still it doesn't appear pls help ^_^
