Easy Cam Plus HO98066 problems with windows 7 64bit

Hello! I have a desktop system installed with windows 7 64 bit version operating system. Also I do have a General electric easy webcam plugged to my system. I have used the webcam and it functioned well before but when I upgraded the system to 64bit the webcam has stopped responding. The drivers are installed but still its not functioning. Please help in this case. How can I make it work?

Well as your camera is not working after upgradation of operating system to 64bit you can make it work by installing the drivers for 64bit vista or windows 7. This should work for you. Search for the camera driver according to the model on the manufacturer's website. Then you need to download the64bit driver for the webcam. Install the driver in windows compatible mode. Hope this would make your camera to detect and work then.

There are certain steps through which you can make your camera to work properly. The steps are as follows:

* First right click the driver.exe file from the drivers section and choose properties.
* Now the check for the compatibility tab and run the program in that mode and then choose the operating system.
* Make sure that it runs as administrator.
* Now click ok and save the settings.
* Install the driver for the camera in your system.

The camera is not responding under windows 7 64 bit due to the incompatibility of the hardware with the operating system. Check out the compatibility of the hardware with the operating system that it would work. This is essential that you need to check for the same. Now as this procedure can be found on the user manual guide provided the webcamera. Check it out.

Contact the manufacturer if you are not able to get the drivers for the webcamera. As the hardware is not responding you need to consult or contact the manufacturer in order to make the things work in proper way. There can be a possibility that the utility disc provided to you may not be proper or might have gone damaged. Get a new one. This should help.
