problem related to headphones in iphone

Hello,
I have iphone 3gs which is 3 months old. It works fine until last night. Last night I accidentally put my ipod's headphones in my iphone. Today I noticed that I unable to hear any sound from iphone. As per my knowledge my iphone thinks that my ipod's headphones are still plugged in. Can any one tell me how to fix this problem?

I also had the same problem, then one of my friend said me how to fix this problem. You can also try this steps to fix this problem.
1.First play any songs on your iphone or said your friend to call you.
2.Now try to plug and unplug your iphone's headphones in your iphone until you can hear any songs.

Try following steps.
1.First connect your iphone's headphones to iphone.
2.Now turn off your iphone and wait for few minutes.
3.Now turn on your iphone while iphone's headphones still plug-in.
4.Now try to call some one, if you are able to hear ringing tone then there is no problem. If you can't hear anything then there is serious problem happened to your iphone. In this case you have to contact your nearest apple store.

I also had the same problem then I tried following steps and it really works. I think you also try this to get rid out of this problem.
1.First close your iphone's active application.
2.Now connect your iphone's headphone to iphone.
3.Now change iphone mode into ipod mode.
4.Now start playing any songs.
5.Wait for few seconds, now stop playback songs and switch from ipod mode to iphone mode.
6.Now unplug your headphone.
7.Now you are able to hear sound from iphone.
