Battery problem (Iphone showing zero battery)

Hi,
I have iphone 3gs 16gb which is 6 months old. It has amazing features and it looks very well. It don't have any problem until last week. From last week my iphone keep showing zero battery. It shows red battery icon. Because of low battery it wont start. I tried charging for long time but it didn't work out. Can anyone tell me how to over come this problem.

I think there is some software related issue because your battery is only completed 6 months. As per my knowledge try to reset your iphone by holding sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously until the logo of apple appeared or you can reset your iphone by going to setting option. If you still have the same problem then contact your nearest apple store and take advantage of your warranty.

As per your information there may be some software related issue. You accidentally installed some unwanted application in your iphone or something wrong happened to yours iphone's operating system. I advise you try to restore your iphone. If you don't know how to restore your iphone then use following steps.
1.Connect your iphone to your computer.
2.Format your iphone normally.
3.Open iTunes application.
4.In the right hand side you can see Restore button.
5.Click on Restore button.
6.Now disconnect your iphone and restart your iphone.
If Restore process does not solved your problem then there is some serious problem happened to your iphone. Take it to the apple store.

It seems that your iphone's battery may be faulty. Try to charge iphone with your computer and check whether it works or not. Try to charge with another wall charger. If you still have the same problem then you have to replace your battery with new one. You can replace your battery from apple store.
