Did you by chance update Windows Media Player? Does your zen v plus mp3 player support directories / folders? Another guess might be that the player isnt closed or connected , but that hardly seems likely / the problem.

Re: Computer won't recognize Zen V Plus Player

What happens if you try to run the player normally by double-clicking on it? If it is not coming up with anything (that is, like it is not detecting the device) then it could be the USB cable. Have you tried another cable? Have you tried to connect another usb device or any other media player, if it is still not recognize then you have a problem with the USB port on your computer or indeed a problem with the USB port on the creative zen v plus MP3 device.

Does creative zen v plus have a reset button? Have you been able to try a different computer? Try this Boot to safe mode and delete the USB ports. When XP rebooted and reinstallthe USB ports.

Reset the creative zen v plus player (Hold the Power switch up for about 10 seconds). Then see if it connects properly. If that doesn't work, maybe it's your USB port. Try another port. If you're using a desktop, try a rear port.
