| Samsung YP-910GS hard drive mp3 player problem
I got a new Samsung YP-910GS hard drive mp3 player. I don't face any problem while playing audio CD, but when I insert a homemade CD with MP3 file, it display started blinking. I tried to reload the firmware but when I connect it with USB the computer says unrecognized USB device. I know the hard drive is a 1.8" Toshiba, same as in the iPods, but it says the drive is an ATA drive? What i need to do in order to resolve my Samsung YP-910GS hard drive mp3 player problem? Any one has any idea about it? Please help me out to resolve the above issue. Thanks. |

It is important to note that the instructions explicitly state not to plug the device in until prompted, or until the install process is finished. Can you check at Start Menu-->Run-->services.msc if the Plug and Play service and the Removable storage service are started then? If not, Start them by right clicking on them. If yes you can try to restart each of them and trying to see what will happen when you plug the device. |

I guess it won't help much as these services are set to Automatic by default but just in case something went wrong. However, the Samsung hard drive players requires to be safely removed, the device using Windows before unplugging it. If you don't do this, your player will crash. Try and update the MP3 player's firmware. If that doesn't work, then you might have to go out and buy a new one. |

If you reloaded the firmware but not the drivers, you may still have a driver problem. Uninstall the software using the Add/Remove Programs window. But if the device is under warranty, it's best to give it back and let the manufacturers fix it. Free of cost. Don't do this manually or using another "remove" tool as exists in some players. That will likely not get rid of everything. Then, take your CD or download the drivers and install them. |
