Bluetooth device is not functioning

I am using Windows vista in my system. When i plugged my bluetooth device then the device gets attached, but the problem is the bluetooth device is not functioning. Is it because of windows vista? I can't able to do any operations with that device. I don't know why this happens. So i need your help, can any one tell me what should i do now?

First thing, you have to do is, try to uninstall the device, restart your system, and again reinstall the device. Now check whether your device is functioning or not. If it is not functioning again then there might be some problem with your hardware. I suggest you to visit a computer technicians place to solve your problem.

Even i was getting the same problem, and i had tried doing many operations. But then also i have not got the correct solution and i visited a technician. I don't know what he had done, but now i can make use of my bluetooth device and it is functioning properly. So, i advice you to either replace your device, if it is faulty or get a new device or get a technician's help.
