usb hard drive shown by computer but unable to access
hi Friends I have recently installed windows RC1 in my laptop. I have one Verbatim/SmartDisk USB 2.0 Firelite external drive. When I plug this drive in my laptop it is recognized by the system and shows up in the Device. But i am not able to view the contain of it.
I have another external USB drive of sandisk and it is fully recognized and accessible from Win7 RC1.
when i tried to connect Firelite in to another PC running winxp it is recognized and accessible on a system. It also working on Win7 Beta.
Please ,give me any suggestion.
thanks in advance.
Re: usb hard drive shown by computer but unable to access
I would like to suggest you the follwoing steps and so that you can solve your issue. to do this first make right click on the my computer and after that select the Manage. now you will get the another windows and under that go to the storage and after that make click on the Disk Management. now once you make click on Disk Management you will get the all driver with it driver letter. now select you drive and after that make right click on that and then choose the Change Drive letter and paths. now here give the Drive letter and path and after that you can acess your USB hard drive.
