Today there are laptops for $400 to $500, I guess getting a new screen and trying to make hands, will cheaper but since you have said its fallen then something can also be damage, so getting new one will be more better than spending so much money in just screen repair.
Why don't you consult to Toshiba if you laptop is under warranty, they will repair for less cost. If its not under warranty then also it be better to get it reair from official source rather than making it repair on local shop. Consult to toshiba and look their response. And one simple idea should be to anyhow recover you data from that laptop and buy a new laptop and restore you data on new laptop.
