Hello people! In the student of Computer science, we were seeing the possibility of connecting one notebook with exit HDMI to a TV with an S-video connection using the PS3 cable. Any ideas what can be done here?

I believe that it can't, because one is digital video and the other is analogical, HDMI is digital format and the one of composite video is analogical. Those cables that you put there are normal cables of audio-video composed of Playstation, the plug that seems HDMI is a propietary connector of Sony Playstation that does not have anything to do with the HDMI.
What is your laptop model and what is your TV? Are you certain there is no S-Video out? Do you need s-video to hdmi, or hdmi to s-video. Hdmi is both directional connection and brings some digital keys between devices. Devices recognition each other. You can swindle the source of signal but quality is low. If you wish s-video to hdmi, only with converter.
