Stream movies from pc external hd to ps3
How can i stream videos from external hard disk to my PS3, please explain me the detail procedure to do this. Which application i need to perform this operation?

I use TVersity on a PC to stream to my PS3. And it Works fine. TVersity automatically converts your content into the proper format for easy streaming. While the PS3 can play MPEG1 and MPEG2 video, it can't play WMV formatted files.

Follow the following steps , bu using Windows Media Player 11 as the server
  1. Go to Windows Media Player 11
  2. From the toolbar, select Library then Media Sharing
  3. Check "Share my media"
  4. On the PS3 - Under Video, Photos or Music, select "Scan for media server"
  5. Go back to the PC, and you should see a pop up showing an unknown device trying to connect.
  6. Allow the device, and everything should work.
