    Re: wireless eBook reader

IREX is now, right this very second, taking unveiled its new big splash in the ebook space, the new DR 800SG. The 8.1 inch unit has connectivity courtesy of Verizon Wireless in the United States and Qualcomm Gobi 3G multi-mode to switch up in the world. There is also 2GB of integrated storage, expansion memory card and stylus (finger truth "arrives in Q2 2010 for a future product, now you can use the stylus, and a reader Color is in the works for 2011 as well), and IREX claims to have the fastest refresh the page in the biz. Perhaps the most notable is that the reader is the first big play Barnes & Noble in space with support for the B & N eBookstore - although this is a platform "open" with the support of the content of newspaper and direct LibreDigital stores as well, and format support for PDF, EPUB, Newspaper Direct Fictionwise, eReader and TXT. Quite the mouthful, IREX and promises to follow wherever the market leads when it comes to DRM. The $ 399 device includes a leather cover and the stylus in the box, and will be available this October in "select" Best Buy stores and struck Europe in the first half of 2010. No wireless contract is required.
