Nokia email settings for gmail

Hello friends, i have a nokia 2700 classic phone which i just brought yesterday nad everything is great. I have Airtel's mobile office and internet just works great with opera and ebuddy. I need Nokia email settings for gmail for my phone. Can anyone help me?

Why don't you use Opera Mini to browse gmail? Just log into gmail.com and type in your email id and password and it will be done. Opera will let you have gmail in the classic view, that is the one which we view on the computer. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your valuable reply Fame. The thing is, Nokia 2700 has email feature which fuctions like outlook and downloads entire mail on the phone. It also has the feature to auto update the mails atleast 30 mins. So this is what i want to configure. Can anyone provide me with the settings? Thanks!

First Enable POP and Mail forwarding from your gmail account. Then configure these settings on your phone :

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.gmail.com
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS [SSL]: Yes
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name:your full email address (including @gmail.com)
Email Address: your email address (username@gmail.com)
Password: your Gmail password

Basically, if there is no settings defined for email, the e-mail setup wizard shoulf start automatically. Alternatively, you can start the setup wizard by selecting Menu than go to Messaging and than tap on existing e-mail account. Here you need to select Options and select Add mailbox. This will start the e-mail setup wizard.

Or simply download the Yahoo mail Jar application (attached with the post), install in on your device and start using it. Simple .
