How to play FLAC files on Ipod

I'm having some FLAC files, which i would like to play it on ipod. So, i would like to know that is there any application which can be used to play FLAC files on ipod? Has any one done this before? Please provide me the correct solution for the above problem. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to convert them to ALAC (Lossless) or to MP3 and/or AAC (m4a) to add them to your iTunes directory and for use with your iPod. iPodLinux works, but isn't at the stage where I'd recommend non-coders using it.

Convert them to V0 or 320kb/s MP3s and they'll stay in good enough quality. As far as I know the iPod won't play FLAC files, and actually you don't really give us enough information to assess the difference between iPod 'generation' models.

FLAC is a free lossless audio format. Omni Encoder can convert your FLAC files to MP3 or AAC with tags intact. It differs from MP3, WMA, MP4 and other formats with lossy compression because it does not cause quality loss. However, the compression ratio is lower.
