How to get 1400x1050 screen resolution

I'm currently having a Compaq 2575 system on which Windows Xp is been installed. I need to have a 1400x1050 resolution digital output from a desktop pc for a projector. As i had tried every possible thing to get 1400x1050 resolution, but was not able to get it. So, can any body tell me that how can i get 1400x1050 resolution on my system? Would somebody help me in getting the required video output? Any help on the above issue would be appreciated.

Most 14" notebook screens support a resolution of around 1280x768. Not sure if you can get anything higher than that. If your laptop panel has an unusual native resolution such as 1400x1050, and the native resolution is not automatically supported, and if your video adapter is something like Intel 915GM you may need to download and install the 915resolution program on your pc.

According to me maximum resolution depends on the LCD screen itself, then your modern graphics cards support resolutions of at least 1920x1200. Try to Check BIOS settings that refer to power and suspend mode. So even if you try to integrate, it will show you the minimum one only on your screen.

Is the projector input DVI or VGA? which output are you using from the video card? If it is graphics card related, do integrated graphics card support a 1400 x 1050 resolution. For some reason, My Samsung 910T monitors only support non standard resolutions with the VGA input, not DVI.
