I think your Mp4 player is not compatible with windows vista, Here's a site which gives information on Windows Vista compatibility with software and other stuffs, You'll get details on thousands of software programs and devices and benefit from users' feedback.

Download this file, you can connect Mp4 player with ointg little changes in registry, I do not take any responsibility of possible disruption from normal functioning of Your operating system with following settings. So try this at your own risk or make sure that you backup your registry
Attached Files
File Type: zip Rock chip compatibility with vista.zip (63.1 KB, 400 views)

sad Re: Rock Chip mp4 player driver for Vista

Please help.. I just got a this mp4 player with the version that doesn't have a camera. It came with a disc, but it has not helped me one bit. I have a laptop with vista and a desktop with XP and it doesn't work on either one. Vista, of course, tells me it's not supported on the version of windows. XP (in media player) says it doesn't recognize the device and to make sure all drivers are installed and that's its not corrupted. I don't have a clue what to do!!! It's obviously quite useless to me if I can't even download music on it.

Thanks!

Which Operating system and Which MP4 (Brand/model) are you using ? There might be driver problem or may be compatibility issue as well. You can try to search the compatible drivers online and than connect the device with your computer. Anyways, please reply with your OS and MP4 brand and model number. Hope i can help you
