Fingerprint reader in windows 7

I have installed windows 7 in my HP laptop . does Fingerprint reader work in windows 7 . i am going to install this . but for some information i was thinking of getting some knowledge .

I have some problem in my Hp laptop with Fingerprint reader and windows 7 installed in it . register a finger using the Control Panel fingerprint application but it failed every time finaly for doing some resacrh i found out a solution that was to run -> regsvr32.exe ->C: Program ->FilesWIN7TSWBFLibrary.dll”‘ from elevated command prompt the COM-object from this library was not registered in installation process. i fix it and it worked really great . no problem till now .

The Fingerprint reader works on your windows 7 but the issue is you cant register your fingers as the wizzard . i used digital persona workstation .hope this will work for you .

it is a really long tip to solve this problem

you need to download 2.01 of DigitalPersona software now Export data and boot in to windows 7 now you need to install the DigitalPersona, restart . after the restart reset properties for each of 7 EXE files again reboot and Register a finger print

Here is the 7 EXE files run properties for each it The files are:
DPAgnt.exe
DPConsol.exe
DPExpImp.exe
DpFpLogonManager.exe
DpHost.exe
DPRunDll.exe
DPWinLct.exe

Now yo need to set each as follows: Compatibility tab -> “Change settings for all users” run in Vista mode and the admin mode, near bottom
Repeat for each of the 7 EXE files this will do .
