Early versions of the QRCD, those created prior to June 2003, had problems that have since been corrected. If a ze4200 or ze4300 series computer experiences this problem, it's likely that the QRCD being used is old. To resolve this issue, order a replacement Quick Restore CD. There is no charge for this QRCD.

NOTE: The Quick Restore returns the computer to its original factory condition. It will be necessary to reinstall all the software that was added to the computer.

If you do not have access to the HP Recovery Manager because of a corrupted or deleted recovery partition, or because you installed a different operating system, HP allows you to purchase a replacement set of recovery discs at minimal cost (all you pay for is the cost of the media, shipping, and handling). To place an order, you will need the product number, the serial number, the type of processor, the name of the Windows OS that came installed on the PC, and your credit card information.

HP offers the HP Recovery Manager so you can create a set of recovery disks for the operating system. During the initial installation of the computer, the backup and recovery HP invites you to create a set of CD / DVD recovery. Once the recovery discs created, use them to return the system to its original condition, if the hard drive fails or if the system is damaged.
