iPhone 3G's with yellowish tint

Hi,

I am looking at my iPhone screen is white original and very nice. Looking at my Apple 3G Iphone. I am thinking, that it has a slightly yellow filter on it, a sort of old dirty look to it. My iphone has a slight yellow color too, but not annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this yellowish tint on iPhone 3G S ?

Since its launch iPhone 3G users have been upset about the yellow tint of the new 3G screen. Apple has stated that this was intentional. Their claim is that the yellow tint creates more accurate colors with deeper blacks, and makes images look sharper. According to Apple, the new screen should help with the contrast and brightness when using the phone outdoors, something that most LCDs have problems.

The 3GS display is ever-so-slightly warmer than the 3G's, having a yellow/orangish tint when viewed side by side. This yellow tint is far from the fidelity of color! Please Apple, change this to re-calibrate the colors. I loved the color and contrast of the first presentation had iPhones. A little less red and there is already an almost perfect screen!

My iphone 3G has the yellow tint. while generation 1 of touch is more normal looking, with white light, but after a while not even noticing. One can only say when its really sunny and we need the full brightness so you can see the thing. I compare 3GS mine now, I wonder if the same or worse. Screen has been coated with a chemical Stain, if you all know the iPhone's screen gets pretty fingers and oil stains are very noticeable.
