How To Upgrade ipcc on IPhone

I recently updated to the new 3.0 software. Can any one tell me how to install and upgrade ipcc to IPhone. I am using iTunes 8.2. I wanted to upload the carrier file but it won't allow me...

IPCC files basically change the carrier support or carrier version for your i phone. Apple not allowing to to update the Carrier files (via IPCC) files in itunes 8.2. IPCC in iphone is a carrier update file. This is a renamed ZIP file. If you want to update your carrier files with the latest itunes 8.2 you can do.

In mac open a terminal and type :

defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

Windows – open up a command shell and type in: (go to start > run > command prompt) then type :

“%ProgramFiles%\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

This will allow you to update your iPhones IPCC file in itunes 8.2.

iTunes 8.2 will not allow you to apply the IPCC updates so you need to follow these steps: Connect your phone, select it in Itunes, Option click "check for updates" (shift click windows). Select the ipcc file you wish to update the phone with. Select the IPCC you downloaded earlier.
