Verizon wireless stolen phone

Hi,

I have lost my motorola Verizon wireless phone, now i want to activate my phone but Verizon is charging me high for new phone, so can i buy a new phone and activate my current Verizon wireless plan on that mobile phone. i also have one doubt, can someone activate my stolen Verizon phone ?

. no one can use your phone, cause when your phone gets stolen, you need to register a complaint to Verizon store, so they have your number in records. so when any one go to Verizon store They will call police and will take legal action again them.

You can Trace your phone if you have an active GPS on your phone and it gets turned on, then it can be tracked. But if your phone is deactivated by Verizon then you can not trace. But if you want to switch to other network then you dont need to do all this.
