Sony STR-DH800 Home Theater A/V Receiver

Model features: 110-watts per channel, 7 HD inputs, 24p True Cinema, Blu-ray Disc audio decoding, S-AIR ready, satellite radio ready, quick speaker set up

Complete the HD experience with the STR-DH800 7.1-channel A/V receiver. This newly designed Full HD 1080p A/V receiver features 7 HD inputs so you can take full advantage of all your HD components. In addition, the STR-DH800 is compatible with 24p True Cinema video signals and decodes uncompressed audio formats including dts Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD and LPCM via HDMI. Featuring One Touch Play, simply place the included microphone in your listening position, push a single button and speaker placement, distance and delays are automatically adjusted. This receiver is also equipped with S-AIR technology so you can listen to your favorite songs wirelessly throughout your home by way of the optional S-AIR transmitter and speaker. Easily connect your iPod or Walkman MP3 player by using the Digital Media Port connection with one of the various accessories (sold separately). This model is also SIRIUS Satellite Radio ready.

    HD input x 7 :
Get versatile HD connection options with seven HD inputs. Four HDMI inputs (up to 1080/60p capable)1 let you connect a Sony PlayStation 3 entertainment system, Blu-ray Disc player, or any other HDMI-capable equipment and get uncompressed digital video and multi-channel digital audio on a single cable per device2. Three HD component inputs provide added HD-capable connectivity and added versatility.

    Wireless Multi-Room Audio (S-Air Ready)
Share music from room to room with ease. Simply “plug and listen” with the optional S-Air transmitter and the AirStation client; you can instantly listen to your favorite music in another room or in multiple rooms.

    One Touch Play (BRAVIA Sync)
BRAVIA Sync capability utilizes the HDMI CEC function to reduce the hassle and time consuming job of powering up and routing signals to your home theater components. With the simple push of one button on the remote, the BRAVIA Sync feature powers on and selects the appropriate inputs for your BRAVIA HDTV and HDMI-connected A/V components.

Enhanced Color Range (Deep Color & x.v.Color technology)
x.v.Color and Deep Color technology takes HDTV color expression to new levels. When the STR-DH800 is connected to x.v.Color capable video sources, such as Sony Blu-ray Disc players, x.v.Color capable BRAVIA HDTVs can display nearly twice as many (1.8x) viewable colors as the existing RGB color standard, resulting in more natural, life-like images.

Satellite Radio Ready (Sirius Radio Ready)
A world of digital radio is at your fingertips. Connect the optional accessory antenna, sign up for Sirius service (fees apply) and enjoy the variety of digital radio with the superior sound quality of an A/V receiver.

    24p True Cinema
24p True Cinema support provides a direct connection to 24p video sources, avoiding conversions and allowing users to enjoy films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second) cinematic picture quality when using a 24p-capable output device, such as a Blu-ray Disc player or Sony PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

Blu-ray Disc Audio Decoding (Dolby TrueHD/dts-HD/LPCM)
Support for enhanced audio formats from Dolby and dts capable of reproducing high definition sound with 7.1 channels of discrete audio so you can enjoy uncompromised audio the way the director intended. Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD bitstream internal decoding via HDMI.

Quick Speaker Set Up (Digital Cinema Auto Calibration)
Simply place the included microphone in your listening position, push a single button and speaker placement, distance and delays are automatically adjusted. Your ideal listening experience is only a button away.
