Verizon XV 6800 wifi problems

Hi,

I have verizon XV 6800 but i dont have any idea how to use wifi, Verizon has fixed it where you can not connect to free wifi. I tried to connect to my WIFI router and The phone sees the wireless connection but when I hit connect to it, it gives me a "Device.exe" error, then the WIFI connection becomes "UNAVAILABLE" in the wifi list on the phone.

I think you are facing this problem because of secure password protected wifi, Your Verizon xv6800 needs to be set up accordingly. the "stronger" encryption methods are not recognized by the phone, so you may need to set up a different encryption scheme. I suggest you to try a Soft Reset with the WIFI switch on.

Try this on you Htc

• Disable WLAN
• Delete all the existing network (Settings-> Connection-> Network wif (remove parameter)
• Press the button 1 of the Livebox
• Reactive WLAN
• Enter your WEP key (if necessary)

Wifi on HTc mobile phone

• Make sure the diode is on your Livebox
• Turn on your wireless phone, it should detect your Livebox
• When your connection is detected, click on desktop
• When your connection is detected, click on desktop
• Do not enter the wep key on
• Go into the configuration of wireless network
• Click on connect to internet
• Enter your WEP key which is on how to use the Livebox or well below it (26 digits and letters)
• Click on OK to validate
• Then go to start menu \ settings \ connections \ network adapters tab: In the Network Adapters tab.and select your service provider.
