How to sync Blackberry Curve 8310 with Activesync

hi friends,

Previously I was using ipaq which I had sync it with my desktop using Microsoft's Activesync. Last week, I purchased a new BlackBerry Curve 8310. I want to sync the Blackberry with my desktop using Microsoft Active Sync.

can I do this ? please suggest...

Unfortunately BlackBerry doesn't use Microsoft ActiveSync.

So synchronizing your BlackBerry phone with ActiveSync won't work. However, you can sync the calendar, contacts, tasks and notes to your computer using the Desktop Manager software that comes with the BlackBerry.

I am sorry to tell you that this is not possible, because ActiveSync uses a protocol whereas BlackBerry uses a different one. You would have confirmed this first before purchasing it...

Go to Synchronize >>> Configuration >>> Configure Sync.

Here, it allows you to tell Desktop Manager synchronize only what you want it to. In mine, I have set an option to skip mail and it works fine.
