Sony flash drive write protection

I am having a Sony Flash drive that says its write protected. I am just not able to move my files from my computer to my flash drive because it says that my flash drive is write protected. I tried to format it but still the same error and also has no switch to remove write protection. Please help.

You can find a small lock that is presents in side of your flash drive just change the current position of this lock and try to copy. If it still won't work than go to My computer and right click on the drive and select eject. Pull the card out and plug it back in.Now try to write to the card. Hope this time it works.

One of my friend was having the same problem with his USB drive and simply got it back to work. What he did ? Very simple. He just removed the USB flash drive without using the 'Safely Remove Hardware' function, regardless of whether write-caching is disabled in 'properties'. This time the lock was off.

USB flash drives are very useful as a data storage but are considered insulated from jerks and related damage.
