Apple iphone extended warranty cost

Hi,

I have apple iphone with 2 year warranty which will get expired on this august so i want to extend the warranty but have no idea how much apple charge for the extended warranty. Also damage cause by owner dropping the iphone is comes under warranty or just manufacturing defects, and other software and hardware issues consider in warranty ? I heard that apple charges 150$ for one year extended warranty, is it true ?

150$ for one year warranty is really very high because actually if you add 50 $ more you can get a new iphone with warranty. so it is useless to spend money on extended warranty unless they provide warranty on the owner dropping and other defects.

Apple provides extended warranty for battery and other hardware issues. it is waste of money if they are providing the warranty only for battery, The reason why they are charging 150$ is cause people abuse the warranties. Because Best Buy will cover accidental damage, once products get near their warranty expiration, people damage them on purpose to get a free replacement. If the warranties were not abused, the price would be lower.
