I may b a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
When you buy a notebook, that's the computer you get like other desktop pc. The only ways of expanding it's capabilities is by using USB devices or PCM/CIA cards. You can't upgrade the processor, motherboard, or monitor. Repair can be expensive. Replacing a monitor, keyboard, or motherboard can be cost prohibitive, that is, replacing the whole computer can be cheaper than repair costs. Devices such as CD Rom drives tend to be proprietary, and must be purchased from the company that manufactured the computer if you wish to replace them. Device drivers are proprietary, and must be obtained from the manufacturer.

Netbooks are good for many things, although none of those things is “actual work." For simple browsing, e-mailing and perhaps even listening to music, the little laptops are ideal. For actual, heavy day-to-day use, they’re still lacking.

I also don't like Netbooks. It has small screen and I dont like it either and the keyboard is too small for extended writing in my humble opinion. Battery life on some netbooks is too short, but the Acer Aspire One and Asus EEE PC 1000H have optional 6 cell batteries, I think.
