Dell Axim x5, wmdc, and vista

Hello,
I recently acquired a Dell Axim X5, 2003 model. My laptop runs Vista, and I downloaded Windows Mobile DeviceCenter. so far ok. We have a wireless modem connecting to high speed over cable.
1) Does anyone know if there is a conflict or problem with WMDC and Vista? The PDA didn't come with the OS disk, Si I had to download this from Windows.
2) I loaded the software for the Wireless Flash Card (Dell True Mobile 1180 WLAN). When it is in the PDA, the PDA can "see" our network, but I cannot get it to connect.

Since you are not able to connect your PDA to your network, you'll need to check the firewall settings. you might try to disconnect your pc from
the network, shut down the firewall, and then check again if connecting works.
