Re: Flatbed scanner suggestions

My friend have Microtek ScanMaker i900 and he can able to his work fantastically
i guess this are it's specifications...Desktop, 6400 dpi x 3200 dpi, IEEE 1394 (FireWire), Single-pass
It can take High-quality scans with a legal-size scanbed using great software.
but on the other hand requires a lot of desk space and utilizes Digital ICE technology only for print scans.

My LIDE60 is amazing.on the other hand a variety of Epson scanners at work which are quite expensive as am fond of photography..
but make sure that you have good software/drivers for the gadget..
so why can't you give a try....

Perfection 4990 Photo Color USB Flatbed Scanner
technical specifications....
Desktop, 4800 dpi x 9600 dpi, IEEE 1394 (FireWire), Single-pass
the best part of the device is that which can be set up very easily, which can promise you solid flatbed scan quality but Soft detail on film scans it's worst part
