How to find WEP code

Hi,
I am trying to set my psp online for gaming. I have a sony psp device which fails when I connect it to a wireless router. It ask for a wep code. Form where can I get the wep code so that I can access the wireless network. I am using a netgear wireless router. All other things works great but only my psp is not able to connect it. Any suggestion will do a great help. Thanks.

Open you wireless setup page. The wep keys is displayed on the setup page of the router. If you cannot see than just a assign a new network key and then look for the wep keys. Try this step go to Start Menu > Run and type cmd. In the dos windows type ipconfig /all. Put a space after ipconfig. Then here look at the server ip. Note it down and type the ip address on the web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer. Then login in here in the wireless section you will get the wep key.

The wep key is listed in the wireless router page. You will need to note it down and just enter it in the psp. Use the ip address like http://192.168.0.1, http://192.168.111.1, http://192.168.0.254 or http://192.168.1.1. This are the most common ip address. Or if you know then you can access your router setup page. Note down the key and insert it in the device.

WEP is a encryption utility. Actually there are no wep code by there keys which authenticate a psp device to connect with the wireless router to enjoy online gaming. The most common keys are in 129 characters or 152 or 256. Netgear usually offers passpharse key generator to it users. This generate wep code keys. Here you can create and note down the keys and use it whenever required.
