Motorola q hard reset

Hey,

I want to know what is the difference between the hard reset and soft reset. How to perform a hard reset and master reset on the Motorola Q SmartPhone.. I deal with a ton of PDA/Smartphones each day at work but never try Motorola Q device. please give me step by step guide on hard reset of motorola moto q.

A hard reset on a smartphone is the process of erasing that non-volitile memory. it will delete all the data stored in you phone. A soft reset is powering the phone off, and that will preserve data. try hard reset only if the phone is infected with virus. To perform hard reset on your motorola phone go to motorola site or you can use the manual which came free with your phone.

If you want to do hard reset then make sure that you have 75% battery on your Motorola Q and also make back up of all data on stored in your motorola q, since this will wipe the device clean. after doing that Turn off the Motorola Q and turn on the Motorola Q, when you get the carrier screen, hold the center button on the navigation pad. Keep it held until you get a “Master Reset?” screen. Click the left softkey for “Yes” and the phone will wipe and reload the operating system from ROM.

To perform a hard reset, hold down the center select key (s) for
5 seconds while turning the phone on.

Master reset: Resets all options except the carrier
security code, and lifetime timer:
Press Start > System Tools > Master Reset
