Connecting speakers directly to TV

Hello
Now am with my new Mordaunt Short 904's and obviously want to get them running- But I don't have a booster to enhance the signal yet so here is my question... can I just connect them to the speaker at the back of my tv for temporary..
is it damage either the speakers or the TV?but it tv manual says
that external speakers must be minimum 8 ohm, 14 watts. but the speakers are Impedance: nominal,Ohms)4-8
Power rating: Watts RMS) 15-100w

your speakers are 8ohms or lower?......also your speakers requires a fair amount more power than 14watts to work correctly,
especially when the amplifier is present on TV......better don't connect..
some time it will harm for your speakers..
so keep patience

well of course you can,but you won't get a nice output..
so there is no advantage doing this purpose.....due to the lack amplifier

don't do that...your tv does not have an amp built into it
which will not give the speakers any power.
so it will be a shoddy work,if you connect the speakers to directly tv...
