Blank display on dell b130 laptop

I have a dell b130 laptop which i am using since a year. Everything was just fine and now all of a sudden, i am getting a weird problem. All i get is blank display on dell b130 laptop, on the screen's light is working, i cannot see anything else.. Help!!

When you press power button on the laptop, do you see the dell logo, BIOS screen or similar stuff? I suspect the operating system is corrupt, or some hard disk related problem. Do post back!

Is there any fluctuation of screen and variation in the illumination of the screen? This may be a LCD problem. Try connecting the laptop to the desktop computer's CRT monitor, and see what happens?

Better check the power supply (charger) and battery first, The battery might not be getting charged and the laptop might be just shutting down due to in sufficient power. Just a thought...
