How to reset Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 laptop bios password

Hello,

I have reinstalled a laptop Fujitsu LifeBook N6420, after that the disk is unreadable. Access is protected by a password. My problem is now for the BIOS password set up, is there a possibility to reset a bios password master password again. It is the User password bios.
It appears immediately after power. It is impossible to access the bios or operating system or boot from CD or otherwise.

The BIOS password is a kind of laptop theft protection, you cannot reset. Also to my knowledge there are no master passwords as in the PC's part.

Therefore you have to contact the manufacturer and they will guide you.

First, remove your laptop battery, then remove your keypad and see the speaker connector. On the left side of it there is a 2 switch panel. Both should be set to position OFF. Put the first switch (the upper one) to ON, remove your Bios Battery (the blue one) and wait 2 minutes.Connect again the Bios Battery, put the switch back to OFF position, put back your laptop battery and start your notebook. there you go. ... the password is gone.Now you can enter the bios in user mode.

To log in supervisor mode you must remove your HDD and then enter the bios.You will have access to all options security of your bios.

I believe it's unfair to ask for money to reset bios so this will save you a few Euros.All you need to perform the action described above are your hands. No screws are to be removed.

1. Have you tried in BIOS "Load setup defaults"?
2. Have you can enter Safe Mode with F8?
3. HDD is SATA or ATA (IDE)?
4. What version of Windows you have installed?
5. If you already have Windows XP installed, then the XP kit in optical drive, you can set the option "R" (Repair).
