Canon powershot sd1100 IS battery

Hi,

I have Canon powershot sd1100 IS and I am using this camera from last 1 year but now i am facing battery problem with the camera. on full; charge it takes only 150 shots and no video. previously on full charge i used to take 250 shots plus video. can I demand the new battery from canon or should i buy the new battery ?
