Hi ,

I am planning to borrow my friends nikon Coolpix 995, but i want to ask one question. As the camera is too old so i can have doubt the battery life and the video recording of the camera. i want to shoot 5 minutes video with this camera. is it possible ?

You may face problem with the battery of this camera, it uses a small 650mAh Lithium-ion battery, known as the EN-EL1. Nikon claims that the battery will last about 110 minutes depending on LCD usage. To charge that battery, Nikon includes a separate charger that holds one battery. It fully charges the EN-EL1 in about two hours.

You can not shoot a long videos with Nikon coolpix 995, its one of the main drawback of Nikon coolpix 995. You still get up to 40 seconds of 320 x 240 video, at 15 frames/second. There's still no sound recording, but at least you use the zoom lens during filming.

Thanks for the information, one more question can i extend the memory of the this camera ? if yes then how much i can extend ? and what is the average battery life of this camera ?
